Bei PLANET PODCAST wird laut über Podcasts nachgedacht. In der ersten Staffel geht's mit namhaften Expert:innen aus Theorie und Praxis um Podcastjournalismus: Was das ist, wie das funktioniert, wie man das finanziert usw.
Das Thema ist wichtig, weil guter Journalismus im Podcasting starke Auswirkungen haben kann. Sowohl auf der Produktionsseite, weil dadurch hochwertige, gefragte Formate entstehen, aber auch hinsichtlich der Wirkung. Journalistisches Storytelling in Podcasts kann nämlich so etwas wie Lebenserfahrung provozieren und Perspektiven dadurch nachhaltig verändern. Wer nicht nur hören, sondern auch lesen will: Unter dem Titel "Was ist Podcast-Journalismus?" (link hier) habe ihr dazu gerade meine Masterarbeit geschrieben.

Die erste und dritte und Folge sind auf Deutsch produziert, die zweite und vierte Folge auf Englisch, um die Gesprächsteilnehmer in eigenen Worten erlebbar zu machen.

Planet Podcast is a bi-lingual podcast about the world and people of podcasting. In the first season I talk to experts from theory and practice about podcast journalism. What it is, how it works, how it’s paid for. And the reason why that is particularly interesting is because good journalism has driven some of the most successful podcasts, for example: Serial. But beyond being a format driver, formats like narrative podcast journalism have also shown their potential as vehicles for cultural transformation. By truly immersing listeners into a situation, great journalistic, narrative podcasts can cause reflection, experience and personal growth.

The second and fifth episode of Planet Podcast have been produced for an english-speaking audience and feature a talk on the business of podcast journalism as well as a real exclusive – a look back at the true origins of podcasting in the founding days of RSS.
